Information gathered by Calculator Tab
Calculator Tab gathers the following personal information when you choose to comment on a page or a blog post: your ip, your email address, and optionally the URL of your homepage. Your ip and your email address are only visible to the site administrator and are protected by a several passwords. They will never be shared with any third party. Should you choose to provide a homepage URL when your post a comment, it will be linked to your Name.

Calculator Tab integrates a service which tracks the traffic on the website called Google Analytics. This service gathers information about your location, about your browser and operating system and about how often you have visited Calculator Tab, and makes it available to the site administrator.
Cookies
Calculator Tab uses two types of cookies. One is stored in your browser cache and is used only by the comment system to keep track of the comments you have made.
The other type of cookie is a Flash cookie called “Local Shared Object” (LSO) used by the calculator to store your preferences and your saved numbers. The location the LSO varies depending on your operating system. For more information about the LSO visit the Local Shard Object article on Wikipedia. The information stored in the LSO by Calculator Tab is not accessed by the calculator-tab.com website nor can it be accessed by any other website. The information contained in the LSO on your computer is the only copy of this data. In the “options” section of the calculator you can choose to delete the data saved in the LSO and replace it with default data. This is recommended if you are working an a shared computer.
